Panel Session: Shaping the Future of Business Travel

Tell us a little about your travel history, how long have you been working in the industry?

I’m General Manager of Amadeus in the UK along with a ‘second hat’ as Head of Business Travel for UK, Ireland and Italy.  I’ve been in the Business Travel sector for over 20 years.  Prior to joining Amadeus in 2016, I held senior positions at American Express across the payments, financial services, and corporate business travel sectors.

Have you spoken at BT Summit before?

No

What topic are you speaking on?

A topic that reflects my organisation’s entire purpose - Shaping the Future of Business Travel

What is the key issues facing this theme/topic right now?

Changes to the distribution landscape are creating some big headaches for corporations to be in full control their travel programmes. With consolidation in the industry and the arrival of NDC, can the traditional one-size-fits all technology platform be expected to do the job?

What major change can we expect on this topic in the next 5 years?

As a company that’s undergoing a major change to evolve from a GDS to become a Live Travel Space, our aim is to remove complexity and workarounds; to provide the broadest range of content from any source, through any channel, all in one place.

Why is it important for delegates to attend your session?

The travel industry is evolving at an incredible pace and travellers are more empowered than ever before.  It’s vital to be prepared for the whatever the future has in store.

Why did you choose to speak at BT Summit?

To challenge our thinking on the big issues affecting us all.

And finally…. Tell us something surprising about yourself
